Lemon Kvas Recipe

  • 1 envelope dry yeast
    10 qt water
    6 lemons
    2 cups sugar
    1 cup raisins
    12 oz beer




Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Boil remaining water and pour into a large stone crock. Add pitted halves of lemons, sugar, and raisins and mix until sugar dissolves. Cool to lukewarm. Add beer and yeast mixture. Cover with cheesecloth and ferment at room temperature for 24 hours. Strain liquid through muslin. Store in sealed glass jars or bottles. Keep for 3 to 4 days before serving.

    1 package green apple jell-o
    1 cup boiling water




Mix the boiling water with a package of green apple jell-o. Allow the jell-o to dissolve for 1 minute. Add chilled DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker schnapps; stir until well combined. Mulled Port Recipe

  • 750 ml bottle ruby port
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    2 oranges
    1/2 tsp ground allspice
    1/2 tsp ground mace
    1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
    12 whole cloves
    1 cinnamon stick




Peel and slice the oranges, and place the peel in a large nonreactive saucepan. Add cloves, mace, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon stick, sugar and 2 cups of water. Set over a medium-high heat and stir frequently to dissolve the sugar. Allow the reach the boil and turn down to medium heat. Simmer for 10 minutes. Strain the mixture and return to the pan. Add port and heat, but do not boil. Serve in Irish coffee glasses with a slice of peeled orange in each. Makes 6 (6-ounce) Irish coffee glasses.

    2 cups guava juice

  • 3 - 4 tsp tea leaves
